Website landing page for the Calgary Vegan Society, with a duo-toned photo of a cow in a grassy field behind large text reading 'Calgary Vegan Society.' To the right, description text explains the group's mission to connect Calgary's vegan, plant-based, and plant-curious communities through events and programs, followed by an email signup field with a 'Subscribe' button and a Joaquin Phoenix quote: 'It takes nothing away from a human to be kind to an animal.'

I wrote a guest post for The Sprout, the blog of the Calgary Vegan Society, about navigating social eating situations as a vegan. The post covers:

  • Private vs. social eating challenges
  • The social importance of shared meals
  • Being firm and confident in your dietary choices
  • Practical strategies for restaurants, family dinners, office potlucks, and travel
  • How to maintain your values while staying connected to community

You can read the full post on The Sprout.
